The BNC Ranch is a privately guided trophy whitetail
hunting ranch. This 580 acre ranch boasts heavy brush and
dense oak forests, a natural and preferred ecosystem for
whitetail deer. High-fenced since January of 2000, intensive
culling and management has been implemented and
absolutely no buck hunting has been allowed on the ranch
until 2004. If you are a serious whitetail hunter with a
serious appreciation for the great outdoors we are eager to
consider you for our limited hunting schedule.
OUR HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY
Since 1846, the Schuchart family has been proud to call
South Texas our home. Five generations after our ancestors
began to farm and ranch here, our appreciation for the land
and Texas wildlife has remained the same: we love and have
the utmost respect for it. The maintenance and conservation
implemented at the BNC Ranch reflects our family’s desire
to create a natural and healthy setting for our whitetail to
thrive within, and we believe in conserving those deer whose
age and quality will be conducive to excellent breeding.
The value of relationships that are created and solidified in
the relaxing atmosphere of the great outdoors are

Our ranch boasts one of the top whitetail deer herds. Very
few ranches can match the quality and that number is
drastically reduced when quantity is considered. Your
clientele, friends and family have the opportunity to hunt the
world-renowned South Texas trophy whitetail. Our ranch is
truly that once in a lifetime chance to successfully harvest a
Boone & Crockett buck.
Any avid hunter will agree there is an unspoken bond
between hunters who had the thrill and excitement of a
successful hunt. The experience one hopes to encounter on
our ranch is one that stories could be told about at the
office, to their children and grandchildren. To experience
the great outdoors, to sit around a campfire under the stars,
to watch and participate in the development of the deer herd
year after year cannot be described - it must be lived. Bring
your children and introduce them to a truly remarkable
outdoor adventure. To know that they are part of the
development and enrichment of the deer herd is both
wholesome and rewarding.
High protein feed is available year round for maximum
trophy antler development. Our native brush growth is
drought resilient and provides cover and food for the deer
regardless of weather conditions.
Genetics – there is no substitution. In our opinion, you can
purchase pen raised deer that have a great showing, but
placed in the wild will deteriorate in both body weight and
antler size. Adapting to the change in habitat, diet, stress
and the breeding season will have effects on antler growth.
Our deer herd is proven. We have a 100% success ratio for
the 2004 through 2007 deer seasons.

few. The ranch has an estimated population of 225 deer
including fawn crop.
Location
Our ranch is situated within ½ mile of the Pleasanton
municipal airport, which has a 4,000 ft. runway. Historic
down town San Antonio, home of the Alamo is
approximately 40 miles to the north. San Antonio offers five
star dining, nightlife, entertainment and shopping. Fiesta
Texas and Sea World are within 60-90 minute drive from the
ranch. Day trips can easily be made to Mexico and the
Texas coast.
